Hi,
Hope the propagation really opens-up soon - never made a contact over the pond yet!
Did hear some NY truckers on Ch6 AM the other day, so fingers crossed.
Cheers.

Just so you know, I monitor Ch6. I too am hoping to xmit across the pond one day when props allow.
Does CH6 AM have a specific use over there in the USA? - I would have expected the truckers to be on CH19
I love big USA homebase radios from the 70's and 80's, but the multi-channel SSB ones don't seem to be on eBay.com lately - have the FCC tightened-up over there?
Cheers.

No, it is an open channel, though quite busy. Yes, the truckers do use CH19. The FCC has tightened up on linear amplifiers for CB, but you can still purchase whatever you wish.
Booming in again on CH6 AM again today for a while, much stronger than the USA/Canada SSB stations who were coming in on 555.
Fingers crossed I'll be able to work Stateside soon.
Cheers.

Looking forward to it.
If I hear there's some Stateside coming in, I'm going to do some all-nighters on the my old Stalker 9 when most of Europe has gone to bed (otherwise there is just too much radio traffic).
Cheers

I've just upgraded to a 40 channel AM/SSB radio, so I'll now be capeable of transmitting on the same frequencies as you folks accross the pond. Keep your ears open!

They're in the back of the box, but the US Truckers are back - AM Ch5, Ch6, Ch8 and Ch19.
Too weak to get back to them
Cheers
