The front comes off , same as the 857D stop horrible little urks from nicking the rig if you leave it in a car.

Take the front part with you !

Ordered one from Denmark as sold almost all the Yaesu gear. This has some excellent audio reports and also build quality. Was at a nice price and maybe is here tomorrow if the wind is in the right direction

I use my in the car it a fine radio .100 watts and atu works well.

Fantastic radio. Mine landed here yesterday and have been using it on data and some other modes today. Running with the Heil HM10 and the W2IHY system and the sound is wonderful. Had some nice comments about mine today Suspect

Dave your not having mine either, unless you have something interesting, oooh ehhh
