Town Link is a Shop Link where most the shops have a UHF radio and it runs thru the Town CCTV control room. The one in Wrexham is great cos if you need the police for any reason you just ask the control room (66) for them and they respond within seconds and the control room stick there cameras on the door. They then keep us and the police informed. In Wrexham we have the Community Police Officers and the beat police on it also.
It all works great. Cost is around £70 per year for standing charge and £70 per quarter for rental of the radio.

AHA we have the same here, called shopwatch or something, its lost in the transaltion but a good source when in the malls to see where the thieves are and who are watching them

Just found the local S-Bahn train service on UHF and got they are talking almost all the time from the trains to control and vice versa
