Icom IC-E7

Has anyone used this handheld? I saw it at the Blackpool Rally and it looks great. Very small and with wideband RX. The only thing is its 1.5w but am thinking of using it at a Rally or the Air Shows it shouldn't matter.

Any comments would be great,

The IC-E7 is Icom’s new stylish, compact and lightweight dual-band handheld transceiver. It covers 2m and 70cm transmit and a wideband receiver that covers 0.495 to 999MHz with the capability of receiving FM, analogue TV audio and other communications. They sell them here at the shows for around 200euro, has indeed a wideband RX and many love these as they have the 6.25mhz step for the PMR SO THEY SAY

They are in Rocket Radio for £169.95 but in other shops like Radio World for £90.00

Ordering mine today... Should come tomorrow at the works address so cant wait to try it out.

Mine came today at 10.00 and played with it for some time. Great little handheld and quite easy to use.

I used it for 5 mins walking from work to the car on GB3CR and had a good radio report so am well pleased.

I will take some pics soon and post them in this section.
