Icom IC-E7
Has anyone used this handheld? I saw it at the Blackpool Rally and it looks great. Very small and with wideband RX. The only thing is its 1.5w but am thinking of using it at a Rally or the Air Shows it shouldn't matter.
Any comments would be great,
Dave

They sell them here at the shows for around 200euro, has indeed a wideband RX and many love these as they have the 6.25mhz step for the PMR

Re: Icom IC-E7
Mine came today at 10.00 and played with it for some time. Great little handheld and quite easy to use.
I used it for 5 mins walking from work to the car on GB3CR and had a good radio report so am well pleased.
I will take some pics soon and post them in this section.

Re: Icom IC-E7

I took this photo of the handheld to try and show how small it is for you all to see. The radio is tuned into GB3CR located on Hope Mountain between Mold and Wrexham.
I have had some great audio reports from it whilst portable and while I have been using it I have not noticed it get warm. The only thing I would put down is how load the speaker it. Its not... It is very quiet but I suspect that's just down to the size of it so I will have a look into buying a speaker mic or something.
