Sadly the band was deleted but there are still some people there operating, the same goes for Switzerland that ended the service back in 2003.

Cybernet
Reftec
Uniden

And a few others made radios and indeed companies like Sandpiper were in the market with a few antennas

is it a big no no to use this band if you are a licenced ham? if the answer is yes then 4 locals to me best be carefull.for the last 3 days i have heard them on a 70cm repeater saying they are going to start using these radios again due to all mobile phone being digital now and the band is just sitting there.

junksale link

I have seen a few 934 Mhz sets for sale on various sites .I remember when they first started and the equipment so very expensive so very few bought it .I believe they were only 20 channel sets but with more than 10Khz spacing if I remember .Brilliant thing about them is the size of a multi element beam .I saw this posting recentely if anyone is interested in it ,it's not mine by the way ,just helping with a link Very Happy .

Rather stick to HF here but we all have different preferences .I remember that amps were not available ( masthead I think was ) .

All the best
