Mold Amateur Radio Club Meeting

This Wednesday night I am going to go to the Mold Radio Club for it's meeting. I am looking forward to meeting some new hams and hope to make some friends... We shall see what it's all about and I will keep you updated... I will be looking at doing the next stage to the Exam very soon and this would be an ideal place.

I went and there were about 15 or more of us. We all had a friendly chat and a pint so I will try and go next week. The only downside is the club is on Weekly and I am not sure if I can go each week. We will have to see what happens next week.

Going tonight like I do most weeks and I am taking the Icom IC-E92 with the GPS mic and hope to put it on the big antenna at the club and show them how D-Star works with GB7WP.

I hope to get some interest...

Just got back from the club after the meeting and all didn't go to plan. Well I forgot this week was the AGM so didn't get chance to go in the shack and show anyone interested D-Star.

I am now Secretary for the Mold ARC and looking forward to my role. The club are also looking at expanding the shack which will make it at least 10 times bigger with a full workshop. This is all in talks at the moment but hope to have an answer in the next week or so.
