it seems i am having the same problems with my quad band as i have with my vx-7r...able to transmit and open repeater, but cannot hear the repeater unless i listen on the other band... have tried every thing from a factory reset to checking all settings and nothing seems to put it right...anyone with any ideas?????

Yes a rather annoying feature of not holding the repeater shift whilst in VFO scan. you'll have to load them in manually to the memories I'm afraid.
