K-PO DX5000 wont contact to my pc

Hi All
I got the new dx5000 with software and usb lead for the computer.
all well and good..
BUT i cant get the dx5000 to open the port.. cant find connection or cant open communication port keeps coming up on the computer screen,,
I even download a driver software called PROLIFIC DRIVER PL2303. which has helped others but not me..
SSSOOOO please has anyone got any ideas.. confused affraid

There was a report in Radcom about one of these CB's. I'm not sure what make it was, but there was mention of a default setting to a normally used port, that may need changing.

Hi mate
I also had the same problem .In the end I used a pc with XP and it worked ,not the ideal solution but it worked .Hope you get it connected soon .

thanks for that.. iam still at it.. install and re install and downloading pl2303 drivers etc... oh how do ya turn off the talk back i heard you only can do it through the computer.. Crying or Very sad

hi have done it yippee Very Happy all i had to do was rename com port 26 and call it com port 3.... now all i have to do is find out how to turn off talk back it head wrecking...
