Just bought one of these, been away from cb for 13+ years and fancied giving it another go. £42 was a steal imo but when i last was on the airwaves it was 40 uk fm and 40 cept if u new a rig doctor, i think cept 27/94 rigs had just started appearing on the uk market. So i got a coupla questions regarding the power mod and other bands available on this radio.

Is the power mod really as easy and snipping the wire and keying the PTT like on the video?

Any point in switching radio to foreign bands from the UK or just use 40fm/mid?

Thanks in advance
