Lamco 10 meter radio

Post by daxi on Mon Jan 10, 2011 1:56 pm

Has anyone seen any details about the Lamco AT-5555 10 meter radio? They are advertising it in this months Radcom & a quick google shows that they were pushing it prior to Christmas, but it is not currently shown as available on their website, with only 2 & 4 meter radios being available & the 4 meter is only a PMR radio not a proper amateur radio.

Dunno about the 10m one but allegedly a 4m multimode is/could be in production in China if enough response for one.
This was mentioned recently on the SOTA reflector and the initial poster had been in touch with LAM and informed of it's progress, if the quality of some of their handies is carried through then the big three could be threatened.
The four meter radio is 40w ( saw that mentioned somewhere) it was available through alibaba.com for a few months previous.
Good to see a radio retailer pushing for single band radios, 4m esp.
