Railways on the air.

Post by daxi on Fri Sep 24, 2010 7:39 am

Anyone else doing a station? I will be at a new local group, Whitwell & Reepham Railway where I have the call sign GB0WWR.
I'm setting up tomorrow & then going over to operate for real on Sunday, where it's a members day.

We made about contact with 14 other stations using a wire hung off the engine shed.
One German station was running a decent antenna system + 1KW & was 5 & 9 + 30dB We were running an endfed wire & 100 watts & were 5 & 8.
