Hi Jay,

Did you manage to sell the radio? I sold mine on Flee Bay last week for £550.00 with the Atas 120A mobile antenna.

I did have lots of enquirys about it but wasn't prepared to send it via courier.

Have you also tried Junk Sale? I must admit I didn't bother there but it's a great site for buying and selling.

Regards,

Dave

Not sold yet but had a few emails but only people making silly offers. I don't understand it as they have just gone back up in price to just under £600 and this one is as good as new. Plus works pukka.

Am not in a rush as use it alongside my other main radio to monitor the 2mtr SSB & FM Bands.

Thanks for the enquiry aswell though and a good site.

Lynchline & Junksale are also worth using. Junksale is not as busy as it was, but it's still one of the first places to look for many.

I don't really like JunkSale any more with the new look when it changed last year but it's still a good place to look and free so that's the main thing :-).

FleeBay is so expensive by the time you sell the radio.

I only wish that G0TOO Chris was still running junksale ,it was great when I first started there about 8-9 years ago ..To top it off trying to list things for sale is a carry on and to try charging £30 for little treats ,well what can one say .Again this is only my opion from my own experiences

Daxi ,you must admit there is a lot of clowns on junksale as well as bad censorship of threads and clowns that destroy other threads .It amazes me how men can behave like children ,you would have seen no doubt threats ect on there .I really wonder how many that use these sites actually use or have a radio ? as they tend to be on the pc more and yes I do use my radio
.

Here's a link to the site run by G3CWI .

I have to agree from first hand experience. When I started out in Amatuer Radio I listed a Galaxy 95T for sale to help me fund my new Hobby. I didn't see anything wrong with it and saw other 11m radios for sale on the site.

I really got a bashing on there by one minded people and my argument was that I was selling the illegal radio to buy a legal one? One that doesn't transmit outside bands. I had to ask the question where do most hams start from? CB which is legal till you stick a great big lineir on the back, 11m and where else?

We all start the hobby somewhere and have a love of radio...

I had to ask the question where do most hams start from? CB which is legal till you stick a great big linear on the back, 11m and where else?

For me it was ex WWII kit & home built transmitting kit mainly used on VHF band 2, 45, 48 & 41 meters & via Short Wave Listening as CB was not around when I started.

I only wish that G0TOO Chris was still running junksale

Don't we all, the only problem then was that the forum side was virtually unusable due to the idiots.
I have to say if you compare the way Martyn Lynch runs Lynchline with the way Junksale is run, Lynchline is miles better.
Daxi ,you must admit there is a lot of clowns on junksale

It's only personal opinion, but I do feel it has got slightly better of late..Well sort of if you exclude the well known net members & a certain, individual whose log on is 3 letters beginning with R.
I also feel that in some respects the heavy handed moderation, was in part needed to pull the site around.
