Keep an eye open on ebay for converted Ham Int radios, they go for about £30. I saw a boxed example with conversion certificate go for £40 recently, so good conditions ones are still very cheap.
Another good 10 meter radio is a Realistic....HTX 10??? Anyhow it's no good to CB'ers, so it goes for amateur radio prices.

rigsearch wrote:Hi everyone,

I'm on the lookout for a decent (not overpriced) 10m multimode. Preferably it should be boxed and in great condition and working order.

The type of radios I'm interested in are:

Superstar 3900EFT
Ranger 2950DX

Please let me know what you have and prices.

When I was setting up a 10 meter station, I looked at 3900 & have to say what google showed me & what I could see made it look like a very poor buy, especially as a 10 meter radio.
I in the end brought myself an old Belcom & a cheap converted Ham Int.

Thanks for the comments - I still like the look of the 3900EFT but take on board what you say. Looks like the Ranger is the safest bet.

Re - Belcom LS102. Used to have one of those years ago and remember the receiver was so sensitive I got adjacent channel QRM from DX stations on the channels either side !! Smile
