Well, by making checks on the board they are a mix between Yaesu and Icom component wise. This morning the programming software arrived and it makes it so easy to program via the cable. The USB programming cable also works no troubles with programming Icom radios and the name icom is also on the usb plug for something that it is supporting.

Nice, thanks for that.
I have heard talk of a cheap & basic HF being on it's way too. Good for the Chinese in knocking the Japanese monopoly.

The fact that Yaesu UK are putting thier prices up by around 20% makes these look a vERY good buy.

There are no price hikes being spoken of at the other major amateur radio manufacturers. A UK dealer was saying that he is going to source more equipment from outside of the UK now, because it's UK prices not prices in general that are rising.

Here so far, am told

Team
President
Midland Alan
Stabo
Albrecht
Yaesu
Kenwood

All going up, BUT MAAS have just released there clone of the Wouxun handheld and thats set at 99euro, some 10e less than the others. BUT, they cost 25$ each including box printing and all. So, when Dave orders 2,000 QSOUK radios then we will be ready and waiting
