What are some HAM radio frequencies in South Africa?

Post by jakson on Tue May 04, 2010 8:17 pm

a friend of mine is from South Africa, and just got a HAM radio, does anyone know frequencies from South America? We have already found some Australian frequencies.

Edited by Daxi to remove unwanted commercial non radio links.

I would be very surprised if your friend had taken an amateur radio exam & not had to learn how & where to operate as part of that examination, no matter what part of the world they from, be that Soth Africa or South America.

Having a radio amateur radio does not mean that it can be used without a licence. Operating without a licence is piracy & amateurs have very good systems in place for reporting pirates to the appropriate countries authorities.
Edited to add a quick google for the relevant country plus amateur radio should help you find the relevant national amateur radio group, who can advice on lincencing, operating etc.
