Spammers

There are more cases of some people joining to spam. I have banned them and deleted two of them.
If anymore come along then I guess they must go the same way as the last ones

If the spammers continue to join then I see no other alternative but to manually activate registration. The IP addresses and E-mail addresses will be checked and call signs will have to be issued and checked with the databases.

It's a shame to have to say it but the forum has in my opinion a good reputation and we don't want it spoiled by a few.

Any comments on this matter by members plz...

Did u ban the IP address?

Another alternative may be to not allow them to post onto certain parts of the forum until they have made a certain number of posts, if that is possible.

Ok thats good Simon, if we ban the IP address it should stop the same user joiing again.

Great idea Daxi, I have been looking at restricting some sections ie Amateur forums until the member is confirmed as being licensed. I just think this will cause a fall out.

I have been made aware that this topic has had restrictions on it, therefore members have been unable to add any comments. Hopefully this has been sorted...
