Re: Forum Rep ?
Hi Andy,
I am sure you are well liked :-) lol. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll have a look in the background and see the user IP and which post was rated negative... Maybe better if people abuse the rating to remove it from the forum... Hmm shall we have a vote?

Re: Forum Rep ?
I voted for removal simply because I do not see a legitimate or reasonable reason for having it.
To have an option of reputation or a vote on a post is one thing, but to have a reputation on a member, were that member cannot disable that facility is different.
To me & its only personal opinion, the reputation option is not a good one on a friendly forum.

Re: Forum Rep ?
I've seen big fallouts on other ( non radio related ) forums over reputation, especially when it was anonymous and lots of finger pointing, so I vote for it to be switched off.

Re: Forum Rep ?
I run a forum with over 400 female members on it with Vbulletin, the birds, sorry ladies love it...
its like a pecking order to show who is the best....
they never notice when I trim them.
No view TBH as I dont use this site alot, but it is growing slowly..

Re: Forum Rep ?
I think the reputation feature is a good idea as it allow's people to vote for someone who has given some good advice. I don't think the Reputation is getting abused at the moment and if it does it can soon be removed and the user abusing the system can be blocked.

I spoke to Tim about this, because I felt bad about my "link please", he told me it was someone from the army support forum he runs.
