Birthday or Valentines present?

Post by daxi on Mon Jan 25, 2010 8:24 am

OK so it's only a few days to Valentines day, so on spotting this I thought I would post it here to help those of you who are being asked if there is anything in particular that you want.
PYE TVT 10 KILOWATT FM BROADCAST TRANSMITTER LDM 1233

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PYE-TVT-10-KILOWATT-FM-BROADCAST-TRANSMITTER-LDM-1233_W0QQitemZ330398068398QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ConsumerElectronics_SpecialistRadioEquipment_SM?hash=item4ced426eae

Personally despite collecting Pye equipment & having an amateur licenced wife who is great when it comes to radio equipment I some how don't think she'll get it for me...(I'm still waiting for the Scammell & the Route Master & I have had a PSV & an HGV for a lot longer than I have had a amateur licence.)

She often leads the way. When I finally get round to it I'm going to put a new multi band wire antenna up as she wants a new antenna optimised for 80 meters.
She wants us to get SSTV/PSK sorted out as PSK will be good for our daughter who only has a foundation licence.
She started out as just wanting a foundation licence as that would cover everything she wanted, then she needed some extra power & now it would be nice to have grand dads G3 callsign & "I want to be able to do more," so she is hoping to do the next advanced course.
