I took it right back down as too much windload with all the other antennas on the ham radio tower . SWR after minor adjustment was less than 1.2-1 across ch 1-40 on USA band. Nice front to back and side rejection in the 5 hrs it was up. I took it back down till next spring when the Taller tower gets redone after 25 years up in the air . I re did the smaller tower ... I have here 2, 1 is non tuned and the other is a tuned one that is sold in the UK by Fusion. Not name dropping, just they sell them. If you can hear it then you can speak with it! Yes the design and the technic is not the newest but is old and guess well tested. I like mine, not recommend it but it does sound well with the Astatic mike connected to it ... great radio beter on rx cept than the lincoln.my one has been opened up to the 400 ch's.the only down side i have found is the ch selector knob sometimes doesnt work but this is not a problem due to the mic having it on there.the ptt button can be a bit hard on your finger after a long qso.

The workmanship is not of the usual Ranger quality but the radio does pull a rabbit out of a hat when it comes to receive It has a good rx and tx quality, build is poor sadly.
