Well we did it, we replaced the LDG Z100 that went pop, last year. The new auto AMU is the updated Z100, the Z11 Pro & first impressions are very good.
The Z100 was an amazing little AMU, but first impressions of the Z11 are that it is even better.

I have had it's smaller brother the FT817 for a couple of years & often use it's bigger brother the FT897, so I knew it well even before I had one. On a recent outing to a local seaside town I took both my VX-7R complete with £30 so called high gain antenna & my Puxing as we intended climbing the 200 foot tall church tower. I tried for the local repeater on the VX-7R thinking this would give me the best chance & got straight in. A friend having lunch about 10 - 15 miles away said I was a good 5 & 3 on the input.
