Out on the radio tonight.. 19/01/10

Hiya Lads,

I will be out tonight on the hill top around Wrexham / Llangollen playing on my FT-857 with the Atas 120A and the 2/70 Sota Beam. I plan to be setup by 21.00 and will be there for a few hours so if anyone want's to try for a contact plz let me know :-)

Hi Mick,

Nope, 20m was closed but 40m was fairly active. I only gave a few calls. I tried my SOTA beam on 2m SSB but not joy so ended up talking to a local who I have never spoken to before for the best part of 90 mins. Prob the best chat I have had on the radio for a long time.

I plan to be out again tomorrow (Thursday) night for a few hours from Halkyn Mountain with the IC-2820 chatting to locals. :-)

Had a good days dx on 20 meters on the Tuesday i worked VK2APC in Australia and UN7MMM in Kazakhstan and the EU looking good for 2010 ...hihi

Well what can I say, some people have ALL the luck :-)... I saw you're post and thought I'd give it a try last night but Thursday I'll only have the 2/70 as I'll be in my works van...
