GB7WP

Post by MW3VSG on Sat Jul 05, 2008 12:03 am

GB7WP is on test this weekend for a week or so and should be fully working in two weeks. It is located on the Wirral to cover Liverpool, Wirral and some of N Wales. The repeater was turned on yesterday and has had a good few users testing it so it's looking good...

Take a look at this page, it shows the call signs of those who use this repeater. Just been listening to a couple of the lads on the Wirral taking to G4LGB West Yorkshire and GM0PKX Scotland at the same time just like a phone call. Sounds great and looking forward to learning more...

I have just found out why the D-Star repeater was not working last night Andy. The repeater is off-air at the moment due to a change in freq. This will be done soon. For more details of GB7WP and the status please visit The Wirral & District website http://www.merseyworld.com/wadarc/ and click on the link GB7WP D-Star in the left column.

No it's not. Chris M1EEV had it back online last night but the repeater wouldn't open for users further a-field. I know that Chris was working on it very late last night trying to get it sorted but couldn't. It turns out today that the receive on the repeater requires alignment and has gone back to Icom.
